  • A home pickup is the easiest way to recycle your clothes. Our home pickup fleet will come to your residence or business and take your clothing items to keep them out of the landfill.

  • Yes! We currently have operations all along the East Coast and are always expanding. We would love to work with your store. We can help you responsibly dispose of overstocks, deadstock and returns. We handle stores big and small. If you want to discuss our services, please contact us.

  • We can take clothing, shoes, linens, and fashion accessories. A complete list can be found here. We cannot accept furniture and other housewares.

  • Helpsy’s mission is to keep clothing out of the trash. 95% of what we collect can be reused or recycled. Clothing is sold primarily for reuse where higher grades are resold to thrift stores in North America and other secondhand markets around the world. The lower grades can be turned into rags for industrial use or stuffing and insulation. Clothing reuse is a big deal and it reduces the enormous environmental burden of the second most polluting industry in the world.

  • Home pickup is offered on different days in different regions. When you fill in your zip code in the request form, it will show you the next three days that we will be servicing your area. We ask that you pick a day that is not your trash day so your clothing is not mistaken for trash.

  • We have clothing collections bins all along the East Coast. To find the bin nearest you click here.

  • No, you don’t have to be home. Please place your bags outside your front door. If you have special instructions for our driver, please note that in the special instructions section of your sign-up to help our pickup process be as efficient as possible.

  • Please place your clothing items in clean bags (e.g. unused garbage bags) and label them clearly if they're in proximity to other bagged items such as yard waste or household garbage.

  • Nothing! Home pickup is a completely free service.

  • Helpsy is not a nonprofit organization so we cannot provide tax receipts. Helpsy is a Certified Benefit Corporation that provides this service to fulfill our environmental mission of keeping clothing out of the trash.
